Ahmad Aysheh v. City of Memphis

This appeal comes before us from the Shelby County Chancery Court’s order affirming
Respondent-Appellee’s denial of a disability retirement to Petitioner-Appellant. At issue
are the following questions: (1) whether the denial was arbitrary and capricious and
unsupported by the evidence; and (2) whether a statutorily created presumption should
apply retroactively to establish that Petitioner-Appellant’s disability was incurred in the
line of duty and is compensable. Discerning no error, we affirm the chancery court’s
judgment.
