KENNETH LUCAS v. HEATHER FIFIELD

This appeal requires us to determine whether the trial court erred in modifying the parties’
parenting plan and in calculating child support after naming Father the primary residential
parent. Mother/Appellant appeals the trial court’s grant of Father/Appellee’s petition to
name him primary residential parent. Father appeals the trial court’s calculation of child
support. We conclude that the trial court erred in denying Mother’s attempts to introduce
evidence of alleged child abuse by Father. Because this evidence is relevant to the best
interest factors and was not considered by the trial court, we vacate the trial court’s orders
on custody and child support.
