State of Tennessee v. Nocomus Harris

Case Number
W2025-01069-CCA-R3-CD

After being convicted of first degree murder and tampering with the evidence, Nocomus Harris, Defendant, appealed. On appeal, he challenges the sufficiency of the evidence and the trial court’s denial of a jury instruction on voluntary manslaughter. After a review, we determine Defendant has waived his challenge to the sufficiency of the evidence for inadequate briefing. Additionally, we determine that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in refusing an instruction on voluntary manslaughter. Accordingly, the judgments of the trial court are affirmed.
